Y’all, I recently developed a heart for styling weddings. I could sit at my laptop for hours, collecting ideas and piecing them together to create special events. One of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon is to brew a warm cup of coffee and dream up wedding ideas. As we transition from autumn to the holiday season, this rustic farm wedding is inspired by the tradition and coziness that comes with this time of year.
The special day would take place on the family farm, beginning with an outdoor ceremony. Bridesmaids would wear flowing chiffon dresses in the same shade of gray, while the groomsmen would don gray pants with crisp white shirts, bow ties, and red suspenders.
The color palette would have a focus on soft neutrals, gray and cream, with a pop of red as an accent. Styling details would include soft linen, vibrant florals, rustic wood, market lights, and corn stalks.
For a personalized take on cocktail hour, guests would enjoy some of the couple’s favorite snacks while having the opportunity to enjoy a hayride or stroll around the property. Treats would include the bride’s warm oatmeal cookies and the groom’s handcrafted cider. Footballs would be available for guests to play games of catch, reflecting the couple’s shared love for the sport.
Guests would later gather inside the barn for the reception where they would enjoy dinner and dancing, followed by a bonfire with s’mores and hot chocolate. A basket of blankets would encourage loved ones to cozy up beneath the stars and share stories about the couple, celebrating the start of their beautiful marriage.
To finish the sweet day, the bride and groom would drive away in a bright red vintage family car.
