After attending the Southern Weddings V7 Launch Party last week, my love for weddings has been ignited. While my mom and I were resting in our hotel room last weekend, I searched for bridal blogs to follow and started dreaming up beautiful weddings by making inspiration boards and watching wedding videos. I don’t know why it hadn’t occurred to me before to follow a collection of wedding blogs, as I have been following the Southern Weddings blog since January and really enjoy looking at both the real wedding and editorial features. Now that I am being exposed to even more content, it’s like a new world has opened up for my creativity. During the long car ride home from North Carolina to New Hampshire, I kept a notepad beside me and began making lists and jotting down ideas that I liked. Even though my current season of life does not yet include my own wedding, I am really enjoying the process of applying my creativity as I find my style. I’m inspired to include more wedding content on my blog from now on, interwoven with other types of posts. After my first week of following a list of wedding blogs, I have collected my favorite ideas and photos from this week’s reading. I hope you enjoy!
Barn weddings have a sweet spot in my heart, as I dream of my own wedding reception taking place in a barn someday. When my eyes landed on this one, it was as though I’d found my dream venue. The curtain in the doorway looks soft and fresh against the rustic wood of the barn, and the lights in the tree give the scene a warm and magical look. As an monogram-and-initial-loving girl, I really like the ‘G’ that is hanging on the tree trunk as well. After taking in all of the decorative goodness, look at this sweet picture of the groom anticipating his bride’s walk down the aisle:

This California ranch venue is absolutely stunning. The ceremony took place outside with a beautiful view of the mountains as the backdrop. The couple shares a sweet story, having met when they were just five years old. The sweet details and soft florals are a great complement to the rustic venue, too. This picture is adorable. I really like the bride’s bouquet and the delicate neckline of her dress. Their outdoor summer wedding was styled with elegant details, my favorite of which was the ceremony seating. (Photo courtesy of this post from Style Me Pretty)
I think this table is charming, with it’s use of greenery and pops of pink and peach. (Photo courtesy of this inspiration feature from Southern Weddings).
I really like these bridesmaids dresses from Bella Bridesmaid, designed by Joanna August. The simple style is timeless and elegant, and the tone of navy is lovely and suitable for any season. I especially liked that the photographer captured a photo of a bridesmaids dress on a hanger with my name on it :). (Photo courtesy of this Real Southern Weddings feature from Southern Weddings).
This picture does a great job of capturing the excitement of the bride and groom. A heartwarming way to end the week. (Photo courtesy of this post from Style Me Pretty.)
