Looking Back on January

January 2015 - Kyla Mary
In January,

We got a lot of snow in New Hampshire, especially with the blizzard this past week.

I made positive changes to my health and stepped into a gym for the first time since my surgery.

I finished a custom wedding stationery suite for some of my dear friends.

I was loving peach herbal tea and enjoyed a cup almost every day.

I asked a lot of questions and used Google quite a bit to deepen my understanding of design and the technical aspects of it. I also ordered a book to further my knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.

I wore ballet flats a lot. In the snow. My toes were cold.

I finished my PowerSheets prep and committed to my 2015 goals (!!!).

I created two wedding inspiration boards full of Southern charm. They can be found here and here.

I made it a point to take care of myself through adequate rest.

I shared quality time with my grandparents.

I was diligent about following a budget and it was exhilarating to prioritize saving over spending.

I got glasses for driving and distance and they have been so helpful.

I became really aware of the fact that God is teaching me a lot right now and is preparing me for good things that He has in store for me.

Overall, January was an excellent month of growth and preparation. I feel ready for the goodness that lies ahead and I’m excited to take action on my goals in February!
