Today is Day 1 of the 3rd Annual Blog-tember Challenge hosted by my friend Bailey. Last year I found Blog-tember in mid-September, just before the Influence Conference, and it was such fun to get to share crepes at a sweet little cafe with Bailey shortly after discovering this fun challenge she puts together each year. This year I plan to join in throughout the month, choosing the prompts that most interest or excite me. This will be a fun way to get into blogging more and connect with others.
Today’s prompt: Introduce yourself however you like!
Hi y’all, it’s a pleasure to meet you! I’m Kyla and I’m delighted that you’re here. I’m 24 years old and live in Southern New Hampshire but am a southern girl at heart. I’ve lived here all my life and attended the University of New Hampshire, but fell in love with the south a couple years ago by way of Southern Weddings Magazine and have been bringing monograms and pimento cheese to this little corner of the country ever since.
I am self-taught in graphic design and hand lettering, both of which I have been doing as side work since late 2013. I’ve interned for the Influence Network, worked as the studio assistant for Ruth Eileen Photography, and have been working as the junior designer for Life Lived Beautifully for almost a year now.
I have a handsome boyfriend named Dillon who works in children’s ministry and shares my love for Jesus, adventures, and burrito bowls, among many other things. We met at church last fall and have been living out the beautiful story God is writing for us since this past winter.
I began this blog in late 2013, having been incredibly inspired by other blogs I was reading and wanting a space of my own to invite others into. I have been writing here occasionally ever since and have recently found that there’s just so much life goodness coming up that I’d like to be able to share so I’m getting into writing more consistently. Blog-tember is a fun way to do that! I encourage you to leave a little snippet about yourself below so I can get to know YOU more also. 🙂
