1. We graduated from Financial Peace University last week! The class was incredible. It empowered us to steward our finances well and work together as a team. To learn more and find a class near you, click here.
2. We had a tree decorating marathon last weekend! We decorated the tree with Dillon’s family on Friday night, my parents on Saturday night, and our own tree on Sunday. ‘Tis the season, y’all!
3. I started my PowerSheets prep this week with the Cultivate What Matters team and am so excited to set meaningful goals for the year ahead!
4. I had a hair appointment on Wednesday and was inspired to share my favorite hair products in a post, which can be read here.
I used the Spotify year-end summary tool to see which music I listened to most this year. Country took the lead, but my listening habits are just as varied as I thought they might be. See a review of your 2017 listening here.

Oh happy day! Last month marked the launch of the 10th Anniversary Issue of Southern Weddings magazine! I have been a loyal reader of their blog and magazine for four years and am passionate about their mission:
“Our mission is to inspire brides to cultivate a life full of love — celebrating their families, the culture of the South, and what matters most to them — and then to draw from that rich well to create a meaningful beginning to married life.”
While I have lived in New Hampshire all my life, I am a Southern belle at heart. I also love traditions, family, community, and creating a meaningful legacy. I love wearing pearls, buying items with my monogram, listening to bluegrass, and sipping sweet tea. When I first laid eyes on the pages of Southern Weddings in 2013, it felt like my heart on paper. As Dillon and I planned our wedding, I turned to Southern Weddings as my sole planning resource.
This morning I had my hair cut and it feels so healthy! I asked my stylist for long layers and love the way it turned out. I always enjoy talking with her about my favorite hair products and techniques I’ve been using, and learning about new ones while in the chair!
During today’s appointment, I realized that I’m very loyal to the products I use. I have long, thick, wavy hair that is most definitely not ‘wash and go’. Since my hair naturally takes a bit of effort to look polished, I’ve spent the past few years learning about the best products for my hair type.
